前幾天聽新聞說六月份會有月全蝕，雖然台灣地區因為經緯度的關係無法觀賞到真正的月蝕，但是可以看到特殊的紅褐色天文奇觀，今天我們要分享的片語 "Once in a blue moon"，久久才出現的一次藍色月亮(筆者本身是沒看過啦，有人看過的嗎?)，根據統計，大約每"兩年半"才會出現一次，而且通常是出現在"初十五"，聽說今年三月份有一次，下一次要等到2012年8月份了~好久!還真想一窺究竟呢! 想看"藍月"的朋友們，明年八月別忘了揪團賞"藍月"啊! 因為出現機率太低，所以後來只要引申鮮少發的事情，都可以用"once in a blue moon"這個片語唷! 台南市優酷英語，提供大家生活學英語的資訊! Definition:
A very rare event (or an event which you seldom do or see). According to popular usage, a blue moon refers to the second full moon that occurs in any calendar month. On average, there will be 41 months that have two full moons in every century. By that calculation 'once in a blue moon' means once every two-and-a-half years.
e.g.
Owing to different life pace, I only get to see my sister once in a blue moon / once in a while.
